Prof B Balaswamy
​
Prof B Balaswamy, PhD, is presently the Chairperson, Board of Studies in Communication and Journalism Dept., Osmania University, Hyderabad, where he had also previously served as the Head of the Dept. Before joining Osmania University, he had also served as Reader and Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, Assam University, Silchar. He has pursued his MA and PhD in the field of Communication from University of Hyderabad. He is the author of the book, "Communication for Sustainable Development", which is a standard reference text for any student of communication who is studying the impact of communication in the development of society. As a person who is connected to his roots, his special area of interest is studying the effect of communication at the grassroots level. He teaches different papers including Communication Theory, Electronic Media and Development Communication at the Post-Graduation level. He has guided 10 PhD scholars and 2 Post Doctoral scholars.
Prof Arumugam Raman

An internationally recognised Educational Technologist, Prof Arumugam Raman, PhD, is presently employed as the Associate Professor at the School of Education and Modern Languages, Universiti Utara Malaysia. He is currently teaching ICT in Education, Research Methods and Statistics in Education. His research interests include Instructional Technology, Computers in Education, Educational Research Methodology, Technology and ICT, Statistics for Educational Research and Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). He has been engaged in many research projects and has received a total of five grants from the university, national (FRGS, RAGS) and college (Leads). Articles, technical papers and books written by him have been published at national as well as international levels. He is also a member of the Editorial Boards for International Journals such as Journal of International Education Studies, Malaysian Journal of Learning & Instruction, International Journal of Education and Development using ICT and Journal of Studies in Education. Furthermore. He is also a member of professional bodies namely, International Association of Science and Technology for Development (IASTED), Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Internet Society (ISOC) and Qualitative Research Association of Malaysia.
Prof P Kennedy

Prof P Kennedy, PhD, is presently employed as an Associate Professor, in the Department of Communication, University of Hyderabad. He has been awarded the Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Professional Excellence Award for Mass Media and Communication in 2019. Prior to his stint as an academician, Kennedy has an experience of 20 years in the field of Television production, having directed several popular Reality shows and Game shows for different Satellite TV channels. He also has an inside view of broadcast journalism, having worked for Eenadu Television as a News Producer. As a producer employed with the EMRC, Hyderabad, he had produced educational programmes, e-learning programmes for UGC-CEC. These enrichment and Curriculum based programmes were meant for undergraduate students in India and were telecast on DD-1 (national channel) and the 24 hours educational channel (Vyas channel).

Dr. Sumati Rao

Dr. Sumati Rao, PhD, has over 15 years of global pharmaceutical industry experience in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR). She has successfully led the launch of therapeutic procedures and treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma. Currently, she is based out of New Jersey USA, where she is employed as the Group Director for an International Pharma company.
L Ravi Shanker

An alumni of FTII (Sound Recording and Sound Engineering) with background in Electronic Engineering, Ravi Shanker, is an audiophile and a professional in the field of filmmaking with more than 35 years of diversified practice spanning Analogue, Digital and Convergent eras. He has been associated with many Indian and International film projects having handled responsibility in the areas of Audio production, post-production and restoration of sound. He has been instrumental in designing, commissioning and operations of Symphony Studios a world class, State-of-the-Art Audio production facility at the famous Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Being passionate in enlightening and empowering young minds of the next generation, he strongly believes in integrating new innovative and holistic approaches to education based on Multidisciplinary 21st Century skills, Bleeding-Edge Disruptive Technologies and Experiential education. As an academician, he has been involved in designing the curriculum and teaching the art and science of Audio Recording at a premier Film & TV Academy in Hyderabad. He has also conducted several customised workshops for students and practitioners from the fields of media and architecture at the national and international level.
